The Copistes exhibition opened on June 13 at the Centre Pompidou-Metz: a choral journey that explores copying as a creative tool, a space for transmission, learning, and reinvention. More than one hundred works — from Ingres to Yan Pei-Ming, from Degas to Tacita Dean — show how “copying” runs through the history of art, taking on different roles: tribute, rupture, reinterpretation
